Overview
Continuous Process Improvement (CPI) is a systematic approach
for improving performance and customer satisfaction through the enhancement
of an organization's core processes.It is specifically designed to
help process owners and key employees document processes,
assess their current status and functioning, and utilize a variety of tools to increase
process efficiency and effectiveness. Process efficiency refers to
how well a particular process performs.
It includes cycle time (length of the process), cost and variation (errors). Process effectiveness refers to the quality of the output (products/services) produced by the process. It includes timeliness, cost and quality (accuracy, completeness and usefulness.
What we do
UGS consultant’s meets with agency leaders to conduct a “waste walk” by conducting interviews and a variety on-site surveys designed first to asses there organizational needs. Waste is any activity that adds costs and not value to the products or services that an agency provides to the American people and the War Fighter.
A Waste Walk is a proactive activity by an organization that seeks to identify every areas of inefficiency within their organization that is hindering productivity and effectiveness. Once the waste walk is ended UGS utilizes a combinations of workshops, training, and project work to help our customers eliminate those areas of inefficiency in order to improve on organizational productivity and effectiveness.
